In a very hectic schedule of college I required some time for myself. After a big research I decided to push off to Sar Pass running through Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh.

It was really tough for me to convince my parents for this trip as a ‘solo’. I was lucky enough to get permission very early. Immediately getting permission I searched for tickets. Now it was time to pack my luggage, accordingly I packed two to three pairs of trousers and t-shirts and few necessary items and remaining whole bag was filled with woollens. The temperature there goes bellow zero, that’s why it’s quite obvious to carry lots of woollens.

I started my journey from Aurangabad till Ambala by rail, it took me 15 hours to reach there. Ambala to Chandigarh is easily assessable by road. From Ambala the real journey starts from the ghats till Kasol. That night of journey was really terrible for me to survive. After reaching Kasol I checked in and started exploring the Kasol. I found many Israeli people around, actually I saw majority of these people than Indians.
And finally I started trekking. It was around 8 hours terk daily and move to another camp. Every day we used to climb around 1500ft above sea level. The water in further camps was terribly cold, even I couldn’t wash my hands after having lunch or dinner. In such cases we used to use tissue papers (they help me in very critical situations). When we reached our highest camp i.e Nagaru Camp ( 12500ft) above sea level the scene was totally amazing and fabulous. Wherever I see, The thing only I was able to see is mountains covered with snow, it was like each and every mountain was covered with a white blanket and at that time snowfall started. I was immensely happy to counter snowfall in this early stage of my life in such height. I was totally fulfilled at that time.

And according to law of nature, time passed and I was back to Kasol, the base camp. After reaching there I was so tired, my body was heavily paining. To heal my body I went to Manikaran which is hardly 5km from Kasol. It is big pilgrim place for Sikhs, there is Gurudwara and a bid hot water pond. This pond is filled with hot water which comes within rocks of sulphur and the water was very hot, I was there around an hour healing my body and I was really refreshed after the bath. I was in Kasol for 3 days more, I enjoyed the regional dish (thupka) and also enjoyed some homemade pies. Which were really delicious. In returning I was really satisfied with the trek and also was nervous as I was coming back to jungle created by humans, which is fulled with certain routine, certain rules, certain aesthetics. But in nature there’s nothing like that. I really miss those days spending in nature.
